Department of Clinical Laboratory DiagnosticsTeaching Staff:
History Data: The department was established in 1960. I.G Fedorov became the first head of the Department and held this position until December 1972. Since December 1973 until November 1990 Department was headed by Professor M.A. Bazarnova – follower of Professor A.Y. Altghauzen Since November 1990 the Department worked under the leadership of Professor G.M. Lipkan - follower of professors I.G. Fedorov and G.A.Dashtayanz. Since February 2007 Department is headed by Doctor of medical sciences, Professor Lunyova Hanna Gennadiivna, the author of 85 printed works, 2 monographies, 6 patents. 2 postgraduates, 5 clinical residents (from which 2 foreign clinical residents) and 3 masters study and do their scientific work under her control. 5 docents, 1 assistant, 2 laboratory assistants with higher education work at the Department. All the workers of the Department are high qualified and provide a good quality of education. The Department gives the base for “Clinical Biochemistry” specialization. Every year the Department provides 12 cycles. Since 2007 the Department has been working on the topic “The part of genetic determinants and immune mechanisms in the development of endo-toxicosis as the main reason for the appearance of metabolic disorders aiming to work out the correction methods in patients with coronary heart disease”. Collective of the Department takes an active part in the development of educational programs and training plans, carries out the methodical and consulting work in order to help the medical organizations, as well as work with practical laboratory doctors, and taking part in certification of laboratory doctors and doctors with other specialties, as well as work in Association of Clinical Chemistry and Laboratory Medicine. Teaching and Methodological Work: The following courses are conducted at the department: specialization in clinical laboratory diagnostics, clinical biochemistry pre-certification: clinical laboratory diagnostics, clinical biochemistry Topical Advanced Training: “Immune methods of examination in clinical investigation of internal diseases”, “The modern methods of laboratory diagnostics of renal and urinary tract diseases”, “Clinical biochemistry”, “Laboratory diagnostics of cervical diseases”, “The investigation of semen in men infertility diagnostics” internship in clinical laboratory diagnostics, co-internship family medicine. Clinical residencies and post-graduate education: The Department provides training of residents (including foreign ones), postgraduates according to a Curriculum approved by the Ministry of Public Health of Ukraine. Scientific Research Activities: The Department has been working on the topic “The part of genetic determinants and immune mechanisms in the development of endo-toxicosis as the main reason for the appearance of metabolic disorders aiming to work out the correction methods in patients with coronary heart disease”. Postgraduates of the department work on such topics: “Specialities of the common and local immune answer in patients with chronic abacterial prostatitis/the chronic pelvic pain syndrome” and “Specialities of the interleukines, selectines and adhesion molecules production in patients with chronic glomerulonephrytis” Clinical work: The department carries out diagnostic and consultative work at medical establishments of Kyiv medical institutions . International activity: The Department takes a part in the international programms of foreign students studying. There are 2 residents and 3 magisters study at the Department.
