The Chair was established at 2009. The Chair is based at the following clinical sites: the hospital for scientists of National Academy of Sciences; the outpatient department of Factory “Artem”.

 

 The teaching activity:

 The following Courses regarding the different aspects of diabetes care are provided for the doctors of therapeutic and surgical specialties:

«The treatment of patients with diabetes mellitus»

«Use of insulin in patients with type 1 and type 2 diabetes mellitus»

«Diagnostics and treatment of metabolic syndrome»

«Prevention of early ageing at the model of diabetes mellitus (antiageing)»

«Cardiovascular complications of diabetes mellitus»

«The program for the education of the lecturers at the schools of self-control for patients with diabetes»

«Arterial hypertension and endocrine disorders – algorhythm of diagnostics and treatment»

«Treatment of patients with diabetic neuropathy and diabetic foot syndrome»

 

The duration of these Courses is from 1 to 4 weeks.

 

International activity:

       

 The Chair is authorized to organize Postgraduate Course of European Association for the Study of Diabetes (EASD).
